Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing beverages, serving guests, managing bar operations, and ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, excellent product knowledge, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, friendly bar service.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guest preferences and company standards.
- Recommend beverages, cocktails, and menu options based on guest preferences.
- Take accurate beverage orders and process requests efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented bar area at all times.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of beverages and bar supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or stock requirements to management.
- Prepare garnishes, ingredients, and bar setups before service periods.
- Maintain accurate records of beverage sales, stock usage, and wastage where required.
- Process guest bills and payments accurately.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and responsible service standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to guest requests.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and appropriately.
- Support restaurant and special event operations when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling guest information.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- HND, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Services, Catering, Tourism Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience as a Bartender, Bar Attendant, Beverage Server, or similar hospitality role.
- Previous experience working in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or lounge environment will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of beverage preparation, cocktail mixing, and bar operations is desirable.
