Position Summary

The Business Development Manager drives revenue growth, expands market presence, and strengthens strategic partnerships. The role identifies new business opportunities, leads complex negotiations, and converts prospects into long-term clients.

The successful candidate actively builds strong client relationships, enhances brand visibility, and supports the achievement of sales and profitability targets within assigned territories.


Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities to achieve established sales and profit targets.

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships across assigned territories to expand market share.

  • Lead negotiations and manage complex sales cycles through to successful closure.

  • Build, strengthen, and sustain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Present and position the company’s value proposition effectively to senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.

  • Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, product positioning, and market penetration.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and maintain structured pipeline reporting.

  • Monitor territory performance and implement strategies to improve results.

  • Oversee customer communications and ensure efficient order processing and service delivery.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business strategy.


Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or a related leadership role.

  • Possess at least five (5) years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

  • Demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years of direct experience in premix concrete sales.

  • Exhibit strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive revenue growth in competitive markets.

  • Apply excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrate strong reading and comprehension skills with the ability to interpret contracts, proposals, and technical specifications accurately.

  • Operate effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing team.

  • Show initiative, resilience, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
