We are seeking passionate and dedicated Class Teachers who are committed to inspiring learners, delivering engaging lessons, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential across Reception (KG), Primary, and Lower Secondary levels.

Position Summary

The Class Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum (Pearson Edexcel), manage classroom learning effectively, and support the holistic development of pupils. The successful candidate will foster a positive classroom environment, track student progress, and inspire learners to develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Develop and deliver schemes of work and creative lesson plans aligned with the British National Curriculum (Pearson Edexcel).
• Teach learners at Reception (KG), Primary (P1–P6), or Lower Secondary levels depending on assignment.
• Deliver engaging lessons in subjects including French, Science, Arts, and Humanities, where applicable.
• Link new learning to prior knowledge and encourage deeper understanding through inquiry and active participation.

Classroom Management and Learning Environment

• Establish a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment that supports learning.
• Build strong relationships with pupils to support academic and personal development.
• Organize learning resources effectively to enhance classroom delivery.
• Promote discipline, respect, and positive behaviour in line with school policies.

Student Development and Assessment

• Develop pupils’ academic, social, and emotional skills in line with their age, ability, and aptitude.
• Assess, record, and report student progress accurately and regularly.
• Prepare pupils effectively for internal and national examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practices and share best approaches.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of a Diploma in Education (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• 1–3 years of teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the British National Curriculum (Pearson Edexcel).
• Ability to teach at Reception (KG), Primary, or Lower Secondary levels.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Must reside in Achimota or surrounding areas.
