Tamale Development Trust (TDT) is a women-led foundation dedicated to driving sustainable development initiatives across the Tamale Metropolis and surrounding communities. We prioritize effective communication, transparency, and community engagement to achieve meaningful impact.

Role Overview

TDT is seeking a proactive and skilled Communications & Grant Support Officer to support the organization’s communication strategies and grant development efforts. The officer will play a key role in crafting compelling content, managing external communications, and assisting with grant proposals to secure resources for TDT’s programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and edit content for reports, newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.

  • Support grant writing efforts, including proposal drafting, research, and reporting.

  • Assist in creating communication materials that promote TDT’s programs and impact.

  • Maintain accurate records of communications and grant submissions.

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure messaging aligns with organizational goals and community engagement.

  • Monitor and support external communications to strengthen TDT’s visibility and donor relations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

  • Experience in grant writing is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Women and residents of Tamale Metropolis and Sagnarigu Municipality are strongly encouraged to apply.
