Key Responsibilities
- Drive the adoption and implementation of direct sales strategies and culture.
- Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and annual account management plans to grow, retain, and reduce churn within assigned SME accounts.
- Contribute to achieving SME Direct Sales market share targets within assigned portfolios.
- Implement targeted strategies to acquire new SME clients across designated industry verticals.
- Manage accounts effectively with a strong focus on account development (“farming”).
- Build in-depth knowledge of assigned SME industry verticals to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Promote and sell MTN’s full range of solutions, including mobile voice, data, ICT services, VAS, and bundled offerings.
- Deliver integrated, tailor-made business solutions to meet client needs.
- Support debt collection efforts to maintain healthy account status.
- Identify market opportunities and gather competitor intelligence to support product and service innovation.
- Utilize CRM systems, pipeline management tools, and reporting systems to optimize sales performance.
- Plan and execute efficient customer engagement schedules to maximize productivity and resource utilization.
- Continuously develop expertise in account management and solution selling to drive cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar commercial or sales role.
Professional & Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of SME markets and industry dynamics.
- Understanding of SME partners and business ecosystems.
- Expertise in sales strategy, account management, and business development.
- Proficiency in sales tracking, reporting, and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of business intelligence and data analytics.
