Role Purpose
You will prepare and present meals according to hotel recipes, standards, and food safety regulations. You will ensure consistency, quality, and excellent presentation while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with established hotel recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks including chopping, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen work areas at all times
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor ingredient usage and support stock control to reduce waste
- Follow kitchen procedures to ensure timely and efficient meal service
- Support chefs and other kitchen staff in daily operations
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality
- Report equipment faults or food safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of Basic Education or Senior High School (SHS) certificate
- Professional culinary training or certification is an advantage
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is preferred but not mandatory
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
