Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Credit Officer / Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage credit control processes, minimize financial risk, ensure timely debt recovery, and maintain strong client relationships. This role requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor customer credit accounts to ensure compliance with agreed terms
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit limits
  • Implement and enforce credit control policies and procedures
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and lead debt recovery efforts
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
  • Prepare and analyze credit reports, aging schedules, and risk assessments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth billing and collection processes
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in credit control, debt recovery, or financial management (hospitality industry experience preferred)
  • Professional certification (e.g., ICA Ghana, ACCA) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
