Job Description

We are seeking to hire an experienced Ghanaian professional for the position of Deputy Director Planning.

Major Outputs

Responsible for planning and development of Master Plans and to ensure consistency with the organization’s strategy and goals. The incumbent is also responsible for architectural and engineering designs or planning of all recommended projects.

A successful applicant will also be required to perform the following functions among others:

  • Oversee the preparation of Master Plans and Layout Plan to guide developments in line with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the architectural and engineering designs of all recommended projects from Master Plans
  • Developing creative and original planning solutions to guide development.
  • Identify facility requirements for all airport users
  • Realistic schedule for implementation of the proposed development options
  • Undertake a comprehensive inventory of existing facilities and conditions
  • Oversee the development of short, medium and long term forecast for planning purposes
  • Developing long-term facility needs programming for inter-modal connections and other considerations
  • Makes valuable inputs in developing plan sign and project man strategy budget and targets. 14
  • Coordinate the execution of all Physical/Spatial Planning strategies.
  • Oversee every phase of a planning, architectural and engineering design projects including capital planning and design.

Profile Requirements

  • Minimum of a First Degree in any Engineering, Planning, Architecture or related discipline
  • Master’s degree in any relevant field is desirable
  • Professional qualification e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE
  • Projects/infrastructure specific training
  • Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience with at least 7 years in a management role.
  • Evidence of strong industry/ sector participation
