Job Summary

Ahafo Ano Premier Rural Bank seeks experienced, ethical, and visionary individuals to serve on its Board of Directors. Board members will actively provide strategic leadership, ensure strong corporate governance, and guide the Bank toward sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Bank’s operations and long-term growth.
• Ensure effective corporate governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to policy formulation and approve key strategic decisions.
• Monitor financial performance, risk management, and internal control systems.
• Support sustainable banking practices and stakeholder engagement.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and fiduciary responsibility.

Eligibility, Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess relevant qualifications, experience, and integrity suitable for directorship in a regulated financial institution.
• Be a shareholder of Ahafo Ano Premier Rural Bank and hold not less than the minimum number of shares prescribed by the Bank’s constitution.
• Be nominated by at least two existing shareholders of the Bank.
• Demonstrate competence in one or more of the following fields:

  • Audit
  • Law
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Risk Management
  • Strategic Planning
  • Corporate Governance
  • Other relevant disciplines as recognized by the Bank of Ghana
