Role Overview

The Dispatch Officer actively coordinates and manages the timely allocation of drivers and vehicles, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. This role is ideal for organized, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced transport environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch operations, assigning drivers and vehicles to meet service demand

• Monitor and track vehicle and driver performance in real-time

• Ensure timely communication between drivers, customers, and management

• Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules, and operational data

• Support problem-solving for service delays, route changes, or customer complaints

• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery

• Contribute to process improvements for dispatch efficiency and driver performance

Qualifications & Experience

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in dispatch, logistics, or transport coordination

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools
