Position Summary

The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for staff, visitors, and organizational assets. The successful candidate will ensure that assigned vehicles are operated responsibly, maintained in good condition, and managed in accordance with road safety regulations and organizational policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Transportation Services

• Transport staff, visitors, and goods to designated destinations safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Operate assigned vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and organizational procedures.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely arrival and efficient use of resources.
• Provide professional and courteous service to passengers at all times.

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, including checks on fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights, and other critical components.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean, roadworthy, and presentable condition.
• Report vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, or accidents promptly to the appropriate authority.
• Coordinate scheduled servicing and maintenance activities as directed.

Records and Compliance

• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, recording mileage, fuel consumption, destinations, and trip details.
• Ensure all vehicle documentation, licenses, and insurance records remain valid and up to date.
• Adhere strictly to organizational transport policies and road safety requirements.
• Support compliance with safety and security procedures during transportation assignments.

Educational Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• Ability to read and write English effectively.
• Minimum educational qualification as required to perform the responsibilities of the role.

Qualification and Experience

• Valid Driver’s License appropriate to the category of vehicle assigned.
• Proven driving experience with a strong safety record.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving practices.
• Familiarity with routes within Accra and other parts of Ghana will be an advantage.
• Experience in a corporate, institutional, or organizational environment will be an added advantage.
