Position Summary

We are seeking responsible, disciplined, and experienced Drivers to support the transportation needs of the Service. Successful candidates will ensure the safe and efficient movement of staff, documents, and materials while maintaining high standards of vehicle care, safety, and professionalism.

This role requires individuals who demonstrate strong driving experience, technical knowledge of vehicles, and a commitment to public service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport staff, officials, and materials as assigned.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained at all times.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report faults or maintenance needs promptly.
• Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and organizational driving policies.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logs, fuel usage records, and trip documentation.
• Support timely delivery of official documents and materials.
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and ensure proper servicing schedules are followed.
• Uphold professionalism, punctuality, and safety in all driving duties.

Driver Grade I – Requirements

• Minimum of WASSCE / SSSCE.
• Professional qualification or industry-based certification in Auto Mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Class “A” license will be an added advantage (for Dispatch Rider duties).
• Minimum of six (6) years’ post-license driving experience.
• Must successfully pass an interview conducted by Ghana TVET Service in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.

Driver Grade II – Requirements

• Minimum of WASSCE / SSSCE.
• Professional qualification or industry-based certification in Auto Mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Class “A” license will be an added advantage (for Dispatch Rider duties).
• Minimum of three (3) years’ post-license driving experience.
• Must successfully pass a selection interview conducted by Ghana TVET Service in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of road safety and defensive driving techniques.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• High level of discipline, integrity, and reliability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
