This role requires a confident HR professional with strong leadership capabilities, sound knowledge of labour regulations, and experience within the industrial or mining sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the HR cycle including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee engagement, and staff exits.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and internal company policies.
- Handle union relations and industrial relations matters professionally and effectively.
- Maintain HR records, employee data, and reporting systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment that enables employees to thrive.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters.
- Lead administrative operations to ensure efficient workplace management and organizational support.
- Promote employee welfare, engagement, and organizational culture initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR management within the mining or industrial sector is preferred.
- Strong understanding of labour laws, compliance requirements, and industrial relations practices.
- Proven experience managing the full HR lifecycle and administrative functions.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Membership of a recognized professional body such as CIHRM, CIPD, SHRM, or related association will be an added advantage.
