Location: Fully Remote (Accra)

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual Programme Assistant – Resourcing to support resourcing and grant-making functions within a feminist and movement-building context. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening partnerships with women’s rights organizations, supporting participatory approaches, and enhancing feminist accompaniment practices across the continent.

This role requires strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese, and a deep understanding of African women’s rights issues and feminist movements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support resourcing processes including grant administration, partner engagement, and documentation.
- Contribute to participatory and transformative feminist approaches in movement strengthening and accompaniment.
- Engage with women’s rights organizations, feminist collectives, activists, and emerging movements across Africa.
- Assist in reviewing applications, reports, and program documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support external representation and communication with partners in both English and Portuguese.
- Conduct research, analysis, and writing on women’s rights issues and feminist movement trends.
- Assist in preparing reports, briefs, and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support learning, reflection, and knowledge-sharing processes within resourcing work.
- Contribute to strengthening inclusive and non-traditional feminist and grassroots networks.
Educational Requirements
- A degree in Gender Studies or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Portuguese.
Required Experience & Competencies
- Experience in participatory and transformative feminist accompaniment approaches.
- Experience working with women’s rights organizations and/or feminist movements, including grassroots, non-traditional collectives, and activists.
- Strong understanding of African women’s rights issues and feminist movement dynamics.
- Strong analytical, writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience in external representation and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Assignment Duration
- 12-month full-time assignment (5 days per week), running from July 2026 to June 2027.
