Role Overview
The EHS Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety systems. The role ensures full regulatory compliance, promotes a strong safety culture, and supports sustainable operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Leadership & Compliance
- Develop and implement EHS policies, systems, and procedures aligned with regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational safety regulations through effective liaison with regulatory authorities.
- Lead internal and external audits and support certification processes.
Monitoring & Risk Management
- Monitor environmental performance, including air, water, waste, and pest control systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring proper reporting and resolution.
Training & Culture
- Deliver EHS training, inductions, and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Promote and embed a strong safety-first and environmentally responsible culture.
Emergency Preparedness & Systems
- Ensure the availability, functionality, and maintenance of emergency systems, including firefighting equipment and response plans.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and performance metrics.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to improve safety and environmental performance.
- Collaborate with Quality and other departments to ensure compliance with food safety and certification standards.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments is highly preferred.
Certifications (Advantageous)
- NEBOSH or equivalent Occupational Health & Safety certification.
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems).
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems).
- HACCP or other food safety certifications.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and local requirements.
- Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance audits.
- Understanding of environmental monitoring systems, sanitation, and pest control.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Work Environment
- Factory-based role with regular interaction across production and operational teams.
- Requires proactive engagement in both office and production environments to ensure compliance and safety standards.
