Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Forklift Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and material handling equipment through timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting smooth warehouse and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of forklifts and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure all equipment meets operational and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs and inspections.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Order and manage spare parts and maintenance supplies as required.
• Collaborate with operations teams to schedule maintenance activities efficiently.

Educational Requirements

• Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Relevant certifications in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or in a similar role involving material handling equipment.
• Strong hands-on experience with diesel, electric, and LPG forklifts is preferred.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
