Position Overview
As the Front Desk / Reservationist, you will serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, managing reservations, guest check-ins and check-outs, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the guest journey.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for hospitality. You will contribute to creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests while supporting the smooth operation of front office activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a professional and memorable first impression.
- Manage reservations, bookings, and room availability efficiently.
- Handle guest inquiries through phone, email, online platforms, and in-person interactions.
- Coordinate guest check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate reservation records and guest information.
- Process payments and issue invoices in accordance with company procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor room occupancy and assist in maximizing room revenue opportunities.
- Maintain the front desk area to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
- Prepare daily reports and administrative documentation as required.
- Uphold guest confidentiality and maintain high standards of professionalism.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in a front desk, reservations, guest services, customer service, or hospitality role is an advantage.
- Experience working within a hotel, guest house, serviced apartment, or hospitality environment will be highly regarded.
