Position Summary

Peduase Valley Resort is seeking a dynamic, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Gym Instructor / Pool Guard to join our wellness and recreation team. The successful candidate will support fitness activities, supervise pool safety, and ensure guests enjoy a secure and engaging recreational environment.

This role requires an energetic professional who promotes health, wellness, and safety while delivering excellent guest service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise gym and pool areas to ensure the safety of all guests at all times.
• Provide fitness guidance, basic workout instruction, and support to gym users.
• Monitor swimming pool activities and enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, and safety incidents.
• Conduct routine inspections of gym equipment and pool facilities to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene standards in all wellness areas.
• Assist guests with proper use of gym equipment and swimming facilities.
• Record and report incidents, maintenance needs, and safety concerns.
• Support the implementation of wellness programs and recreational activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and resort operational standards.

Educational Requirements

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Recreation Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in fitness instruction, lifeguarding, gym supervision, or recreational facility management.
• Strong knowledge of fitness training, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
• Valid lifeguard certification or safety training certification is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
• Ability to remain alert, calm, and responsive in emergency situations.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work in active environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
