We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and detail-oriented Gardener to join our facilities and maintenance team. The successful candidate will maintain the resort’s gardens, landscapes, and outdoor areas to ensure they remain attractive, healthy, and aligned with our commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences.

Position Summary

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining landscaped areas, caring for plants and greenery, and ensuring the resort’s outdoor environment remains clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will demonstrate practical gardening skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating attractive outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas throughout the resort.
• Plant, prune, trim, water, and care for flowers, plants, and trees.
• Mow lawns and maintain outdoor areas to ensure a neat and attractive appearance.
• Apply fertilizers, compost, and appropriate treatments to support healthy plant growth.
• Identify and control weeds, pests, and plant diseases using approved methods.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely.
• Keep walkways, outdoor areas, and garden spaces clean and presentable.
• Support landscaping projects, including planting, beautification, and seasonal improvements.
• Monitor irrigation systems and report faults or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain proper storage and care of gardening tools and supplies.
• Dispose of garden waste responsibly and maintain environmental cleanliness.
• Assist with outdoor decorations and arrangements for special events when required.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Basic education qualification, technical certificate, or relevant gardening training.
• Previous experience as a Gardener, Landscaper, Groundskeeper, or similar role is preferred.
• Experience maintaining gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces in a hotel, resort, commercial property, or residential environment will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic plant care, landscaping techniques, and gardening equipment is desirable.
