Job Title: Head, Financial & Regulatory Reporting
Reports To: Financial Controller
Location: Head Office, Ridge, Accra
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Purpose
The Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting functions of the bank. This role ensures the timely preparation of accurate financial information to support commercial, strategic, and investment decisions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
Develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the finance function.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide relevant financial insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Lead and mentor the financial reporting team, ensuring high performance and adherence to deadlines.
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders on financial and regulatory matters.
Monitor changes in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, and implement necessary adjustments.
Provide management and the Board of Directors with regular updates on financial performance and regulatory compliance.
Develop and track key performance indicators for the financial reporting function.
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for audits and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 12 years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing, with at least 6 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, and local banking compliance requirements.
Proven experience in leading financial reporting teams and managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
Proficiency in financial reporting systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
