Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Supervisor to lead and strengthen our workplace health and safety initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, promote a strong safety culture, and support the company’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and continuously improve health and safety policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare comprehensive reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver safety training, induction programs, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act, occupational health and safety regulations, and relevant international standards.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Support the development and execution of emergency preparedness plans, drills, and response procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders during inspections and audits.
• Monitor workplace safety performance and recommend improvements to enhance compliance and operational safety.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous education.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health and safety management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian occupational health and safety regulations and international safety standards.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or related professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
