ROLE OVERVIEW
The Help Desk Officer serves as the first point of contact for clients and internal users, providing timely support, accurate information, and effective problem resolution. The role requires strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach to customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Help Desk Officer will:
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and service requests
Diagnose issues, provide solutions, and escalate complex matters when necessary
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, complaints, and resolutions
Communicate clearly with clients through email, phone, and other approved channels
Demonstrate active listening to fully understand user needs and concerns
Manage multiple requests efficiently while meeting service timelines
Support continuous improvement of help desk processes and customer experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
Hold an HND or higher qualification, preferably in Communication or a related field
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Exhibit patience, professionalism, and a customer-focused attitude
Possess effective problem-solving and active listening skills
Show good time management and organizational abilities
Be adaptable and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment
Prior experience in a help desk or customer support role will be an advantage.
