Job Summary
As a Volunteer Christian Counsellor, you will provide compassionate counselling, spiritual guidance, and psychosocial support to children and caregivers. You will encourage hope, promote emotional wellbeing, and support families through faith-based counselling while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Christian counselling and psychosocial support to children, caregivers, and families.
- Offer spiritual guidance, encouragement, and discipleship in line with the organization’s mission and values.
- Conduct counselling sessions that promote emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth.
- Support outreach, evangelism, and faith-based activities where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate counselling records while ensuring strict confidentiality.
- Assist with data entry, documentation, and reporting as required.
- Work collaboratively with programme staff to support the holistic wellbeing of beneficiaries.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, churches, and community stakeholders.
- Uphold safeguarding principles and contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
Educational Requirements and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Relevant training or qualifications in Christian Counselling, Theology, Psychology, Social Work, Guidance and Counselling, or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Christian counselling, evangelism, and discipleship.
- Active involvement in a Christian church and a demonstrated commitment to Christian ministry.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time volunteer position.
- A volunteer allowance will be provided to support the successful candidate.
