Position Summary
The Human Resource Manager will oversee the full spectrum of human resource operations, including workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, payroll administration, and HR compliance. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in building a high-performing workforce, promoting employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and organizational policies within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to meet operational and business needs.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, and orientation processes.
- Build talent pipelines to attract and retain qualified employees.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Foster positive employee relations and promote a productive workplace culture.
- Manage disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee performance management systems, KPI tracking, and employee appraisals.
- Support managers in driving employee performance and continuous improvement.
HR Policies & Compliance
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana’s labour laws and statutory employment regulations.
- Advise management on HR policies, employment legislation, and workplace compliance.
Payroll, Attendance & Administration
- Oversee payroll processing in collaboration with finance to ensure timely and accurate salary administration.
- Monitor attendance, leave management, and shift scheduling.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee learning and development programmes.
- Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- Promote continuous learning to enhance workforce capability.
Health, Safety & Employee Welfare
- Support workplace health, safety, and employee wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with operational teams to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate employee welfare programmes that promote engagement and well-being.
Industrial Relations & HR Reporting
- Build and maintain effective relationships with employees, management, and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management dashboards.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification or membership of a recognized Human Resource professional body will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive HR experience.
- At least three (3) years of experience within a manufacturing, factory, FMCG, food processing, agro-processing, or industrial environment.
