Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resource Officer to support and strengthen HR operations within a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will manage HR processes, support workforce administration, and ensure compliance with labour regulations while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement HR policies, procedures, and workforce administration systems
- Support recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and offboarding processes
- Monitor attendance, overtime, leave administration, and workforce coordination
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using HR Information Systems
- Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of HR-related data inputs
- Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651), and other relevant legislation
- Manage employee relations processes, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Support HR reporting, documentation, and workforce analytics
- Provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support institutional HR needs
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field
- Professional HR certification or equivalent qualification required
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HR experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, workforce planning, and HR operational systems
- Good understanding of Labour Act 2003 (Act 651) and related employment laws
- Experience with payroll support systems and HR Information Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software applications
- Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills
