Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resource Officer to support and strengthen HR operations within a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will manage HR processes, support workforce administration, and ensure compliance with labour regulations while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement HR policies, procedures, and workforce administration systems
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and offboarding processes
  • Monitor attendance, overtime, leave administration, and workforce coordination
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using HR Information Systems
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of HR-related data inputs
  • Ensure compliance with the Ghana Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651), and other relevant legislation
  • Manage employee relations processes, including disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Support HR reporting, documentation, and workforce analytics
  • Provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support institutional HR needs
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Professional HR certification or equivalent qualification required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant HR experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, workforce planning, and HR operational systems
  • Good understanding of Labour Act 2003 (Act 651) and related employment laws
  • Experience with payroll support systems and HR Information Systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software applications
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills
