Job Summary
The Human Resource Officer will support the organization by managing recruitment, implementing HR policies and procedures, coordinating employee relations activities, and delivering effective people management solutions. The successful candidate will help build a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop, implement, and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programmes for new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information.
- Support performance management, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and assist in resolving workplace issues.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment legislation, and company policies.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management information as required.
- Coordinate training and development programmes to enhance employee capabilities.
- Support payroll administration by maintaining accurate employee data where required.
- Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- A professional qualification in Human Resource Management (such as CIHRM, CIPD, SHRM, or an equivalent certification) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Human Resource role.
- Sound knowledge of HR best practices and Ghanaian employment legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
- Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) will be an added advantage.
