The Position
Under the direct supervision of the International Operations Manager, the ICT Associate ensures the effective implementation and management of ICT services within UNFPA Ghana. The role focuses on delivering reliable technology support, maintaining systems, and enhancing the organization’s digital environment.

The ICT Associate:
- Implements ICT policies, standards, and guidelines established by UNFPA Headquarters
- Provides ICT and administrative support services to the country office
- Delivers day-to-day technical support to users of information systems and infrastructure
- Maintains and monitors ICT systems to ensure optimal performance and security
- Identifies, reports, and resolves technical and operational issues efficiently
Key Responsibilities
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
- Ensure compliance with corporate ICT security policies and standards
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and guidance on ICT tools and systems
- Maintain accurate records of ICT assets, issues, and resolutions
- Assist in data management, system updates, and reporting processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of ICT services and workflows
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in ICT within a public or private sector organization
- Strong knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows, corporate ICT security, and antivirus systems
- Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise applications
- Ability to execute both specialized and routine ICT tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve operational challenges effectively
Languages
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of a second UN language is an asset
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in standard office software applications
- Experience with UN systems such as Quantum, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms is an asset
