We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Instrument Technician to join our offshore operations team in Accra.

Job Summary

The Instrument Technician will support offshore production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation, electrical, and control systems to ensure safe and efficient facility performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational reliability while adhering to industry safety and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
  • Monitor and maintain electrical and electronic equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on offshore instrumentation systems and related equipment.
  • Diagnose technical faults and implement timely repair solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with offshore safety standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and system upgrades where required.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted production activities.
  • Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and emergency response activities.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Meet STCW Code A-III/6 standard (Class 2 Electro-Technical Officer – ETO).
  • High Voltage System Safety certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of offshore experience as an Electrical Technician or Instrument Technician.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Experience working within offshore production or marine operational environments will be an advantage.

  • Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational issues effectively.
  • Strong understanding of offshore safety procedures and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational safety.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.
