Position Summary
The Intern – Program Support provides day-to-day assistance to program teams to ensure effective implementation, coordination, and reporting of TechnoServe projects. The role supports planning, documentation, communication, and operational activities and offers valuable hands-on experience in development programming.
This position suits a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and contribute to meaningful development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The Intern – Program Support will:
Support program planning, implementation, and coordination activities.
Assist with data collection, documentation, and maintenance of program records.
Help prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external use.
Support communication with partners, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
Assist with organizing meetings, trainings, and program events.
Contribute to the development of basic communications materials, such as presentations, flyers, or reports.
Provide administrative and logistical support to program staff as required.
Perform additional program-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Business Administration, Economics, Agriculture, Communications, or related disciplines).
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills.
Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet strict timelines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Fluency in at least one (1) local language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to design basic communications materials is an added advantage.
