Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Consultant to support our operations in Accra, Ghana. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in commodity markets, vendor management, and program systems to provide strategic guidance and coordinate effectively with key international stakeholders, including UN agencies and large global organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate and coordinate with UN agencies and large international organizations to support program goals
- Provide market intelligence and insights on food commodity markets, freight markets, and related goods and services
- Manage relationships with vendors and ensure operational needs are met
- Support budgeting, pipeline management, and other corporate system-related processes
- Prepare reports, analyses, and documentation to inform decision-making and strategic planning
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize program efficiency and outcomes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant work experience
- Experience working with UN agencies or large international organizations
- Expertise in food commodity markets and related logistics
- Proven experience managing vendors and procurement processes
- Familiarity with budgeting, pipelines, and corporate systems related to WFP operations
- Fluency in English (level C)
- Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or Portuguese)
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
