Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Trader to join our growing trading team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to gain hands-on experience in financial markets while supporting trading operations, market analysis, and client engagement activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior traders and market specialists to monitor market developments, execute trading strategies, manage risk, and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Trader, you will:

• Monitor financial markets, economic developments, and industry trends that may impact trading activities.
• Support the execution of trades across assigned financial instruments in accordance with established procedures and risk guidelines.
• Analyze market data and prepare reports to support trading decisions and strategy development.
• Assist in monitoring trading positions and identifying opportunities to optimize performance.
• Support risk management activities by ensuring compliance with trading limits and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, trading activities, and market observations.
• Collaborate with senior traders to evaluate market opportunities and develop trading strategies.
• Provide timely market updates and insights to internal stakeholders and clients where required.
• Monitor trading platforms and systems to ensure smooth operational performance.
• Stay informed about regulatory developments and market best practices relevant to trading operations.

We are looking for a highly driven individual with strong analytical capabilities, commercial awareness, and a passion for financial markets.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in financial markets, investments, or risk management will be an added advantage.
• Up to two (2) years of experience in trading, financial markets, investment analysis, banking, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, trading principles, and economic indicators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
• Familiarity with trading platforms and financial market technologies will be an advantage.
