Azmera Restaurant is looking for a dedicated, energetic, and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen operations. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about food preparation and maintaining high kitchen standards, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will:

  • Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
  • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Receive, inspect, and organize kitchen supplies and inventory.
  • Support stock rotation and monitor ingredient freshness.
  • Assist with plating and food presentation as directed by the kitchen team.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • An HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Catering, Food Production, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to delivering quality service.
