Role Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. You will actively assist the culinary team in food preparation, cleanliness, and overall kitchen efficiency while maintaining KAYA’s high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and line cooks with basic food preparation tasks
• Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times
• Support dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties
• Assist in receiving and properly storing food supplies
• Work cooperatively with all kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations

Requirements

• Degree, Diploma, or HND preferred
• 2–3 years of experience in a kitchen environment (preferred)
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and strong personal discipline
• Willingness to learn and adapt to established kitchen standards
• Positive attitude and strong team spirit
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must reside in East Legon, Madina, or nearby communities
