Job Summary

Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Engineer – Mechanical & Platework to join our operations team. The successful candidate will oversee mechanical and platework engineering activities in the gold mineral processing plant, lead a team of engineers and technicians, and ensure maintenance, safety, and operational excellence in all mechanical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and platework engineering operations within the mineral processing plant
• Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technical staff
• Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance, repairs, and installation of mechanical equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant performance and production efficiency
• Monitor and report on engineering projects, equipment performance, and maintenance activities
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving support
• Ensure proper documentation of engineering works, maintenance schedules, and compliance records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Mincom Competence Certificate and Minimum Sectional Engineer qualification
• Registered member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (advantageous)
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in gold mineral processing plants, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Valid driver’s license (minimum Class B)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience in mechanical engineering, platework, and plant operations
