Candidate Profile
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Option 1:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related professional area.
- Certified trainer.
- Option 2:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified trainer.
- No prior work experience required.
Core Responsibilities
1. Administer Employee Training Programs
- Promote and communicate all training programs to employees.
- Lead by example in guest hospitality, creating a positive environment and delivering excellent customer service.
- Support employees in identifying behaviors that drive service excellence.
- Ensure employees receive ongoing training to meet guest expectations.
- Apply effective training methods to develop employee skills in guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular meetings with the training cadre to coordinate training efforts.
- Observe employee service behaviors and provide constructive feedback to individuals or managers.
2. Evaluate Training Program Effectiveness
- Monitor enrollment and attendance in training sessions.
- Meet with participants to assess progress and address concerns.
- Partner with operational leaders to evaluate employees’ technical and leadership skills.
- Analyze comment cards, guest satisfaction scores, and other data to identify areas for improvement.
- Measure the transfer of learning from training to operational performance.
- Incorporate adult learning principles into all training programs.
3. Develop Training Program Plans and Budgets
- Align all training initiatives with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Identify performance gaps and collaborate with managers to design and implement effective training solutions.
- Adjust training methodologies and conduct retraining when necessary.
- Ensure training programs positively impact key business indicators.
- Establish clear guidelines so employees understand expectations and performance standards.
- Develop specialized training to enhance service performance.
- Drive brand values and philosophy in all training and development activities.
- Integrate guest satisfaction metrics into departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
4. Manage Training Budgets
- Participate in the development of the training budget as required.
- Manage budget in alignment with HR and property financial goals.
- Control departmental expenses to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
- Use P-card responsibly to monitor and control departmental expenditures.
