Position Summary
As the Human Resources Officer, you will manage key human resource functions that support the company’s operations and business objectives. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, HR administration, and compliance while promoting a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process to attract and retain qualified talent.
- Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive and engaging employee experience.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Implement and monitor HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and employee development plans.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives to strengthen employee skills and organisational capability.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment matters, and workplace procedures.
- Manage employee relations issues professionally and support conflict resolution where necessary.
- Administer leave, attendance, employee benefits, and other HR operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana’s labour laws and organisational policies.
- Prepare HR reports and analyse workforce data to support informed business decisions.
- Organise employee engagement, wellness, and recognition initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture.
- Support organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement of HR processes.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in a Human Resources role.
- Strong knowledge of Ghana’s labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HR information systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
