As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance & Facilities Officer to help ensure our offices, residential facilities, and operational spaces remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Position Summary

The Maintenance & Facilities Officer will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities and ensuring all company facilities are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance requests, coordinate service providers, prepare company apartments for incoming employees, and ensure that all facilities remain clean, organized, safe, and operational.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining excellent standards, pays attention to detail, and follows through to ensure every task is completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Maintenance & Operations

  • Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance activities across company offices, apartments, and other facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance requirements and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure lighting, air-conditioning systems, plumbing, electrical installations, and other facility infrastructure are functioning effectively.
  • Monitor the condition of facilities and recommend timely repairs and upgrades.

Vendor & Service Provider Coordination

  • Engage and coordinate external contractors and service providers, including electricians, plumbers, painters, cleaners, air-conditioning technicians, and maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor service quality and ensure all work is completed according to agreed standards and timelines.
  • Follow up on maintenance requests and repairs until satisfactory completion.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and contractors.

Residential Property Preparation

  • Coordinate the preparation of company apartments and accommodation facilities for new employees.
  • Ensure apartments are clean, functional, fully serviced, and ready for occupancy.
  • Arrange repairs, painting, cleaning, and other maintenance activities as required.
  • Conduct inspections before and after occupancy to maintain facility standards.

Facilities Administration

  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, service schedules, inspections, and repairs.
  • Assist with budgeting and tracking maintenance-related expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and facility management standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility efficiency and appearance.

Workplace Environment Management

  • Ensure office and facility environments remain clean, organized, professional, and welcoming.
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility functionality, safety, and employee comfort.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues and operational concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Building Technology, Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance coordination, facilities management, property management, or a similar role.
  • Practical knowledge of building maintenance systems, including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general facility upkeep.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, technicians, and service providers.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and follow-up abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
