Role Overview

Newmont Corporation seeks a results-oriented and detail-driven Mechanical & Structural Engineer to support engineering design, analysis, and site operations. The successful candidate will contribute to safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and optimize mechanical and structural designs in line with project specifications
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyses to ensure structural integrity and operational efficiency
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction and installation activities
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to enhance safety and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution
  • Identify practical engineering solutions to address operational and project challenges

Qualifications

  • BSc. / BTech in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in the engineering industry

Technical Skills

  • Apply strong knowledge of structural design principles and engineering calculations
  • Demonstrate expertise in site inspections, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
  • Use relevant engineering software and tools to support design and analysis activities
  • Manage technical documentation effectively and accurately
  • Demonstrate familiarity with industry standards, codes, and engineering best practices
  • Apply appropriate tools, methodologies, and processes to achieve project objectives

  • Execute defined engineering procedures and complete assigned technical tasks efficiently
  • Follow structured processes while maintaining attention to quality and safety
