We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist – Intern to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in clinical laboratory procedures while contributing to accurate and timely diagnostic services.

Position Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist – Intern, you will support laboratory operations by assisting in sample collection processing, testing, and analysis under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience in clinical diagnostics while adhering to established quality and safety standards in healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, labeling, and processing of laboratory specimens.
• Perform basic laboratory tests under supervision in accordance with standard procedures.
• Support senior laboratory staff in diagnostic testing and analysis.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory materials and samples.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Follow strict quality control and safety protocols in all laboratory activities.
• Record and document test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Adhere to healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and institutional guidelines.
• Participate in training and mentorship programs to enhance professional development.

Qualification & Experience

• Prior internship or practical exposure in a medical laboratory is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and diagnostic techniques.
• Familiarity with healthcare quality and safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and work in a structured clinical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.
