Position Summary
Wellgiant Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking a customer-focused and highly professional Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) to support pharmacy operations and deliver exceptional service to patients and customers.
The successful candidate will assist with dispensing support activities, provide accurate product information, maintain inventory records, and contribute to a positive customer experience while ensuring compliance with Pharmacy Council regulations and company standards.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with over-the-counter medication requests and healthcare product inquiries.
- Provide accurate information on medication usage, storage, and general healthcare products within approved guidelines.
- Support pharmacists in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
- Ensure medicines and healthcare products are properly displayed, stocked, and organized.
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory management activities.
- Record transactions accurately using the pharmacy’s ERP system and other operational tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Support compliance with Pharmacy Council regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Report inventory discrepancies, customer concerns, and operational issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional standards within the pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple branch locations when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate in Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) recognized by the Pharmacy Council of Ghana.
- Valid registration and practicing license issued by the Pharmacy Council of Ghana.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ post-qualification experience in community or retail pharmacy practice, preferably within a multi-branch environment.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is required.
- Good understanding of pharmacy operations, inventory management, and customer service principles..
