To strengthen community engagement and support governance collaboration initiatives, Danpong Healthcare seeks a dedicated Member of County Assembly (MCA) to represent community interests, support local development initiatives, and contribute to policy dialogue that improves healthcare and social outcomes.
Job Summary
The Member of County Assembly (MCA) serves as a representative of the community at the local governance level. The role involves participating in legislative discussions, overseeing development initiatives, and advocating for policies that address the needs and priorities of constituents.
The successful candidate will engage actively with community members, government institutions, and development stakeholders to promote inclusive development, transparency, and effective local governance.
Key Responsibilities
The Member of County Assembly will:
Attend and actively participate in assembly meetings, committee sessions, and policy discussions.
Represent the interests, concerns, and priorities of constituents during legislative deliberations and policy formulation.
Monitor and oversee the implementation of local development projects to ensure accountability and effectiveness.
Engage regularly with community members to identify challenges, gather feedback, and provide guidance on governance matters.
Collaborate with government officials, development partners, and other stakeholders to support community development initiatives.
Review and provide input on budgets, policies, and legislation that affect the local community.
Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical governance in all decision-making processes.
Support initiatives that strengthen community participation in development and governance.
Qualifications and Experience
Eligibility
Must meet the legal age, residency, and eligibility requirements to serve in a local government leadership role.
Experience
Experience in community leadership, governance, public administration, or development work will be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Strong leadership and community engagement skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking abilities.
Knowledge of governance systems, public administration, and community development practices.
Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and mediate community concerns or conflicts.
