Job Summary

The Microfinance Officer will drive client acquisition, manage loan portfolios, and support the delivery of accessible financial services to individuals, farmers, traders, and small businesses. The role requires strong relationship management skills, field engagement, and strict adherence to credit and operational policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit prospective clients within assigned catchment areas.

  • Conduct credit assessments and support loan processing in line with the Bank’s policies.

  • Monitor loan portfolios to ensure timely repayments and portfolio quality.

  • Conduct regular field visits to clients for monitoring and relationship management.

  • Promote the Bank’s products and services to drive deposit mobilization and loan growth.

  • Maintain accurate client records and prepare periodic field and portfolio reports.

  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders and clients.


Qualification Required & Experience

  • HND or First Degree in Accountancy, Marketing, BCom, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Banking and Finance, or related fields.

  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience will be an added advantage.

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

  • Ability to read, interpret, and complete credit and client documentation accurately.

  • Must be able to ride a motorbike. Possession of a valid motor riding license will be an added advantage.
