Position Overview

Asanko Gold Ghana Limited seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Mine Geologist to support its mining operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in grade control, geological mapping, and orebody interpretation to ensure efficient and accurate mineral extraction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and sampling in active mining areas.
• Support grade control activities to optimize ore extraction.
• Develop and update geological models and block models.
• Interpret geological data and provide recommendations to the mining team.
• Monitor ore quality and ensure accurate classification of mineral resources.
• Collaborate with mine planning and operations teams for effective production.
• Maintain accurate geological records and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Educational & Professional Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in:
  • Geology
  • Geological Engineering
  • Or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mine geology.
• Strong geological mapping skills.
• Experience in geological block modelling for grade control (MP3 software preferred).
• A valid Ghanaian driver’s license.
