Position Summary
The British High Commission is seeking motivated and enthusiastic National Service Interns to join its administrative and operational teams.
This programme is designed to provide recent graduates with practical workplace experience, professional development opportunities, and exposure to diplomatic and public service operations, while contributing to the effective delivery of departmental activities.
Interns will provide administrative and operational support across various units, gaining valuable skills in a structured, international working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support to assigned departments within the High Commission.
- Assist with day-to-day office coordination and documentation processes.
- Support scheduling, filing, data entry, and records management activities.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and official correspondence.
- Support communication and coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the smooth execution of departmental tasks and activities.
- Provide general logistical and clerical support as required.
- Perform other duties assigned in line with departmental objectives.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Must be a final-year student or recent graduate from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Must be undertaking National Service in accordance with Ghanaian requirements.
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured and multicultural environment.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support team objectives.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
