Position Summary

As a National Service Personnel in the Finance Department, you will support treasury, accounting, financial analysis, and administrative functions while working closely with experienced finance professionals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills, broaden your understanding of financial operations, and contribute to key business activities.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Support

The successful candidate will:

• Assist with daily cash management activities, including monitoring and reconciling bank accounts.
• Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts, reports, and financial analyses.
• Assist in monitoring working capital and liquidity management activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient treasury operations and timely financial transactions.
• Support the preparation of treasury reports and related documentation.

Accounting Support

The successful candidate will:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and invoice processing.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documents, and accounting files.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal procedures.
• Support the Finance team during month-end and year-end closing activities.

Financial Analysis and Market Intelligence

The successful candidate will:

• Gather, organize, and analyse financial and market data to support business decision-making.
• Assist in preparing financial models, reports, and analytical presentations.
• Research industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
• Prepare summaries and recommendations based on research findings.
• Support management with data-driven insights that improve business performance.

General Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Department.
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute ideas that improve departmental performance.
• Stay informed about industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices.
• Manage assigned tasks effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Finance Manager or designated supervisor.

Education and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Eligibility to undertake National Service in Ghana.
• Professional accounting qualifications or ongoing professional studies will be an added advantage.
