Position Summary

Preset Pacesetters Senior High School is seeking a responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious Non-Teaching Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for school operations. The successful candidate will ensure the safe movement of students, staff, and school materials while maintaining the school’s vehicles in excellent condition and representing the institution professionally.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Safely transport students, staff, management, visitors, and authorized personnel as assigned.
• Operate school vehicles responsibly while complying with traffic regulations and road safety standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report any faults promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of school vehicles at all times.
• Perform routine vehicle checks, including fuel levels, oil, tyres, lights, and basic safety equipment.
• Maintain accurate vehicle usage records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports.
• Transport school documents, supplies, equipment, and materials as required.
• Support school trips, events, excursions, and official transportation arrangements.
• Ensure students enter and exit vehicles safely while maintaining appropriate conduct and care.
• Coordinate with school administration regarding transportation schedules and assignments.
• Report accidents, mechanical issues, traffic incidents, or safety concerns immediately.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling and ensure timely servicing of assigned vehicles.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling school-related activities.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to students, staff, parents, and visitors.
• Perform other duties assigned by school management.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A minimum of a Senior High School (SHS) Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• A valid Ghanaian Driver’s License with the appropriate category.
• A minimum of three (3) years of professional driving experience.
• Experience driving for a school, institution, corporate organization, or similar environment will be an advantage.
• Clean driving record with demonstrated commitment to road safety.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or during school events when required.
