We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager to lead our operations and ensure exceptional service delivery across our logistics network.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring the efficient coordination of logistics, fleet management, dispatch activities, and service delivery. The successful candidate will develop operational strategies, optimize resources, lead operational teams, and drive continuous improvement to achieve business objectives and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all operational activities, including route optimization and dispatch scheduling.
• Manage the company’s fleet by ensuring regular maintenance, fuel efficiency, and compliance with road safety regulations.
• Monitor delivery performance and implement corrective actions to consistently achieve Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Develop and manage the operational budget while identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising service quality.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate operational staff, including drivers, dispatch riders, and warehouse assistants.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze operational data and key performance indicators to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all drivers, vehicles, and operational assets maintain valid documentation, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with customer service and other departments to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in operations management, preferably within the logistics, courier, or transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian road networks, transportation regulations, and logistics best practices.
• Proven leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
