Your Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant, you will:

• Provide high-quality primary healthcare services to students, staff, and other members of the University community.
• Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and diagnostic evaluations within the scope of professional practice.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment and care plans in accordance with established medical protocols.
• Support health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives across the University.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and medical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in emergency response and clinical support services as required.
• Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards governing healthcare practice in Ghana.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of healthcare services within the University Health Centre.

What Will Make You Successful?

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistantship (Medical) from a recognized institution.
• Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana.
• A minimum of four (4) years of post-qualification professional experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
