Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our processing team. The successful candidate will operate and monitor plant equipment, ensure efficient gold processing operations, and maintain high safety and environmental standards. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a demanding mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor processing plant equipment, including crushers, mills, conveyors, CIL circuits, and thickeners
• Ensure smooth and efficient plant operations in line with production targets
• Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment faults or inefficiencies
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report major issues to the maintenance team
• Monitor process parameters and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve plant performance

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of WASSCE or Tradesman Certificate (NVTI, COTVET) in Process Operations or a related field
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a gold mining processing plant
• Familiarity with crushers, mills, conveyors, CIL systems, and thickeners
• Strong understanding of plant operations and safety procedures
• Good problem-solving and observational skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and high-pressure environment
• High level of discipline, responsibility, and attention to detail
