Position Summary

As a Preschool Teacher, you will create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of young children. You will plan engaging lessons, encourage curiosity, and provide high-quality early years education aligned with the school’s curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel supported and valued.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote early literacy, numeracy, creativity, communication, and social development.
• Apply effective teaching strategies based on Montessori, Early Years, and Pearson learning approaches.
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and development.
• Develop age-appropriate learning activities that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and independence.
• Support children’s emotional, social, and behavioural development through positive guidance.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and wellbeing.
• Prepare and maintain classroom resources, displays, and learning materials.
• Encourage active participation through play-based and child-centred learning activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, assessments, and student development reports.
• Ensure compliance with school policies, child safeguarding procedures, and professional teaching standards.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant qualification or training in Preschool Education, Montessori Education, Early Years Education, or Pearson curriculum programmes.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and learning practices.
• Experience teaching preschool-aged children will be an advantage.
• Strong classroom management and child engagement skills.
• Ability to design creative, interactive, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their growth and development.
